One of the earlier series of the former shinylovers.com website. I shot this one with a girl I met at the university campus eventually between two lectures. She was sitting outside the economics faculty building with a fellow student from my register. I joined them and we quickly get to talk about my photography and spandex clothes, surprisingly. She told me about her former sports workouts, including gymnastics. She did know what a catsuit is and still got one at home. When I asked her about modelling as a black catsuit girl for the website, she asked for a few days to think about.
Two days after that, I almost run into her, when entering the library. We exchanged some words and after a short question about the salary, she agreed to model. So we arranged a date for the initial meeting, where I told her about the details and presented some photos too. When we met for the shooting, I asked her to bring some of her old gymnastics stuff with her. She did pull out this wonderful black Arena catsuit from her bag when she arrived. I was flashed, so to say, finest smooth spandex with a great shine.
Unfortunately, she put it back into her bag after this series, but I managed to get a similar one when an only shop had a sale. A short time after that, I get to know Arena stopped the production of gym wear and focussing on swimwear only.
