During the early years of 2k, I placed wanted ads in a local city magazine. I barely got much response from that, but one day I received an SMS from Steffi. She introduced herself as a Techno girl, partying every weekend. As I met her for the introduction coffee, I had a little shy girl sitting in front of me. At first, I asked her if she really was at a legal age. Being that small and tender, I thought she must have been 16. But her ID card told me wrong, she turned 20 that year.
After having that coffee together, we arranged a shooting date quickly. Meeting outdoor in one of the cities public parks, I wanted to create a nice setting for her to warm up for the photos. What I got was a very photo loving Techno girl with almost no reservation, but this shy look of a deer. Absolutely lovely in my eyes.
This series today is one of the first I shot with her. Wearing one of her normal street outfits. The tiny black cotton pants show her lovely tender body shape. That red shiny nylon racing jacket was pretty much in fashion that days, so she dressed in it almost every day.
